Rust Adds Several New Missions With Naval Update

With Rust’s new Naval Update, a variety of new missions were added to Rust’s sea and deep sea biomes. Each mission is meant to encourage players to travel the sea and explore the game’s new update through enticing scrap and item rewards. An Important Broadcast Mission Objectives

The new Important Broadcast mission requires you to venture to the Underwater Lab to play the Fishing Village 24/7 station on a boombox. By swapping the station for more than one boombox, the mission provider NPC will give additional bonus rewards. The mission is given by the Dive Master found in either of the Fishing Villages. The mission rewards a double diving tank exclusive to the task.

Beep in The Deep Mission Objectives

Rust’s new Beep in The Deep mission leads you on a treasure hunt as you uncover the buried treasure of Rust’s tropical islands. Speak with the Vagabond found near the drone shop at Outpost to receive the mission. The mission will require a metal detector as you must venture into the Naval update’s deep sea and head to a deep sea island to hunt for treasure. Entering the deep sea will require a sturdy boat such as an RHIB, a PT boat, or a player-built modular boat.

Gone Killing Mission Objectives

The Gone Killing mission forces you into the deep sea as you must find and kill 8 Scientists on patrol boats. Patrol boats can be found roaming the deep sea, guarding ghost ships, or protecting the Oil Rig when the hackable crate begins to unlock. The quest is given by the Floating Citizen found on the docks of the Floating City.

Oil Rig Raid Mission Objectives

Rust’s new Oil Rig Raid Mission starts with you speaking to CZ-721, who also offers the Outpost spawn point quest. The quest takes you onto the Oil Rig, where you must retrieve a Soda Can from the security room. You can optionally unlock the hackable crate for additional rewards.

Keeping Afloat Mission Objectives

The last of the new Rust missions, Keeping Afloat, requires you to make a wood delivery to the Floating Citizen found inside the Floating City. The mission is offered by the Lumberjack, who requests you to fetch 3000 wood and venture into the Deep Sea to meet his contact.
