Five new Naval missions were introduced to Rust with the Naval update. Each of the five missions offers great rewards, requiring players to venture out into the seas of Rust. In this blog, we will be guiding you through the Oil Rig Raid Mission, which requires you to retrieve cargo from the Oil Rig.

Where to Obtain The Oil Rig Raid Mission

Rust’s Oil Rig Raid Mission can be obtained from the Outpost on Rust’s main island. The quest is given by the CZ-721 Scientist NPC found next to the Outpost’s recyclers and research table who also gives the Outpost Validation mission granting you an Outpost respawn point. Interact with the Scientist to receive the Oil Rig Raid Mission from him.

Oil Rig Raid Mission Objectives

Head to the Oil Rig – You can use Scuba equipment or purchase a boat or submarine from the Fishing Village to make the journey easier.

Enter the CCTV Room – The CCTV room will be marked by a small objective on your map and is found in different locations on each Oil Rig.

Retrieve the Soda Can – The soda can will be found in a small package resting on one of the desks in the CCTV room.

Bonus Objective – Open the Locked Crate to receive an additional Semi-Automatic Rifle (optional).

Return to Mission Provider – Head back to the Outpost and speak with CZ-721 about the mission. Hand in the task to complete Rust’s Oil Rig Raid mission and receive your rewards.
