Rust Outpost Spawning Guide

Rust’s July “Friends With Benefits” update introduced a brand new spawning system known as Outpost spawning. The new feature allows you to spawn inside the Outpost after completing a short mission. In this short tutorial, we will teach you everything you need to know about the mechanic, along with how to unlock and use it.

How to Unlock Rust Outpost Spawning

To begin unlocking the Outpost spawning mechanic, you first must make your way over to the Outpost monument. Once there, you’ll find a blue scientist named CZ-721 who will offer you the Outpost spawning quest. After being given the quest, you must simply travel to the nearest Fishing Village and retrieve a set of documents marked on your map. Finally, return to the Outpost to claim your reward.

How to Use Rust Outpost Spawning

Now that you’ve obtained your reward from CZ-721, you’ll now be able to use the Outpost spawning feature. If you happen to die and wish to spawn at Outpost, just look through your bag selection until you spot one called “Compound”. The bag will spawn you inside the monument with a long, but balanced 30-minute cooldown.
