Rust Jungle Polishing Changes
The Rust jungle has received a handful of polishing changes following the “Nerfed, Buffed, Balanced?” June update. The changes aim to make the jungle biome more accessible to people traveling through it, with a significant improvement in the quantity and visual appearance of resources found in the biome. Grab your torch and get ready as we explore all the changes to Rust’s jungle.
Rust Jungle Visual Polishing
The visuals of Rust’s jungle have been polished in some cases to improve visibility and the overall appearance of the biome. The biggest change was the introduction of a new model for hemp plants, allowing them to be easily identified on the jungle floor. The old, small leafy green hemp plants have been replaced by stalky towers topped with purple flowers. The pop of color allows the plants to stick out from all of the other foliage you’ll run across in the jungle biome. Furthermore, several trees that weren’t finished in time for last month’s update were added to give the jungle even more variety.

Rust Jungle Changes
A few quality-of-life changes were also made to the jungle biome, making it easier for players to come across resources and monuments.

Rust Jungle Node and Berry Spawn Changes
More specifically, the rock formation density in the jungle has been increased, allowing for more ore node spawns in the area, along with berry bushes getting their own specific spawn pool in the jungle biome, meaning you’ll see more of them around.

Rust Jungle Cars and Bikes Spawn Changes
Cars and bikes can also now be found around the roads of the jungle, meaning you’ll no longer be stranded in the vast and thick biome.

Jungle Player Spawns
Players will no longer have to worry about spawning only in the jungle from now on, as the player spawns have been reverted to their previous form. The former change seemed to always be temporary as to allow players to familiarize themselves with the new biome.

Rust Jungle Monument Changes
Changes to monument distribution inside Rust’s jungle allow more of them to spawn in the area. This change hopes to combat the current issues with the lack of monuments, causing the game to feel empty. Expect monuments such as the Airfield, Trainyard, Powerplant, Giant Excavator, Military Tunnels, Water Treatment Plant, and Sewer Branch to be more present around your Rust world.

That’s all the polishing and balance changes being made to Rust’s jungle. Use the knowledge of these changes to your advantage to give yourself an edge over uninformed players. Hopefully, the effects of this update lead to more players building in the biome and calling the jungle their home.
