A new item was secretly added to Rust as a reward for one of the newly added Naval quests in the form of the Double Diving Tank. How to Obtain The Double Diving Tank

The double diving tank can be obtained by completing the Important Broadcast mission given by the Dive Master. The Dive Master can be found at either Fishing Village, wearing a Scuba Tank and Jeans. We have an entire blog to guide you through the mission as well.

Double Diving Tank Features

The double diving tank is identical to the diving tank except that its capacity is 80% larger. The tank holds up to a total of 1,080 seconds of air compared to the single oxygen tanks 600 second capacity. Similar to the diving tank, the double diving tank can also be repaired and refilled at a repair bench or workbench, resulting in a 20% durability loss.

Double Diving Tank Tips

Each mission can only be completed once a wipe, meaning each double diving tank is extremely valuable. Double Diving Tanks are great for exploring underwater wrecks for loot for extended periods of time. While the icon is different, double diving tanks have an identical model to the single diving tank, meaning you cannot tell them apart from a third-person perspective.
