In the October Meta Shift update, both the bicycle and the tricycle received a new feature in the for of bunnyhopping. A bunny hop is a movement technique that allows the rider to perform a small hop, clearing small obstacles and more. Where to Find Bikes in Rust

To begin bunnyhopping, find a bicycle or tricycle that commonly spawns on roadsides in the temperate and desert biomes or near monuments. The number of bikes spawned on each server depends on the settings set by the admin.

How to Bunnyhop in Rust

Then, while riding, right-click to initiate a small hop to help navigate Rust’s environment. A bunnyhop can be activated once every three seconds, assuming the player is grounded and above water. The hops can even be paired with ramps, spike traps, or other obstacles to design your own bike course. Be careful not to land on your head, as you will ragdoll and take significant damage.

It is important to note several different strategies to boost your bunnyhopping ability to the next level. The height of each hop is dependent on the bike’s health and stamina, meaning a healthier bike can jump further. The height is also dependent on the bike’s speed, so gathering momentum is key to a good hop.
