The biggest Counter-Strike 2 update of the year has finally arrived with the reintroduction of Cache to the franchise. It’s long been true that many utility lineups favor T Side players, since it’s their duty to set up executes and take sites; however, knowing these grenade lineups is also important for CT players.
Cache will no doubt be added to the Active Duty Map Pool after a big international LAN tournament, so everyone needs to know what combination of utilities to throw in various situations.
This combination of a smoke and an Incendiary Grenade is thrown from the exposed part of Z, but very effective if you can beat out the attacking side to mid.

The first part is an important smoke that blocks off the edge of the Garage and completely disrupts the attackers’ vision towards Mid, while the second piece of utility thrown is an Incendiary over to the fan favorite position Boost. You can see a full guide on throwing this utility here.
Unlike a lot of utility sets that are thrown at specific times during a game, this simple lineup can be used at any moment. It’s a simple pop flash that completely blinds T Side players looking towards the general direction of Z on Mid while minimizing your own disorientation.
Since Mid control is fought for round after round, chances are you’ll be able to pull this one off successfully during a game. Not to mention, you can keep using this since the carry limit for flashbangs is two in one round, and eventually it’s bound to lead to results.
You can hit A Main with a bunch of utility from generally safe areas as a CT Side player. A simple point-and-click lineup from Truck will let you smoke off the entry towards the site, while flashbangs from either Quad or Elektro are completely unavoidable by players just standing around in Main.
Cache is still new in CS2, and a lot of well-known pieces of utility only cover the T Side at the moment. With more gameplay and some creativity from professional Counter-Strike players, we should see more CT-based utility in absolutely no time.
