What Are The Most Viewed CS2 Majors?

5. BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025

The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 could be best described as a fairytale that almost came true, had it not been for the best team in the world. With a peak viewership of 1,789,038, it lands at fifth on this list but on the very top of the list of Majors held in the Americas.

The MongolZ and Vitality faced off in the Grand Final where, despite a 0-1 series deficit, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and the rest of his team were simply too good for the Mongolians to derail.

4. PGL Major Copenhagen 2024

The Major built on a rematch two years in the making, Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan met once again in the Grand Final of a Major at PGL Copenhagen 2024. With 1,853,954 people watching the Grand Final series that went the full three maps, it became the CS tournament with the third-highest peak viewership at the time.

In addition to the Grand Final, there were two other matches that fetched over a million viewers: FaZe Clan vs Team Spirit in the quarter-finals and G2 vs Natus Vincere in the semi-finals.

3. PGL Major Antwerp 2022

pgl copenhagen 2024

Just like the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, PGL Antwerp 2022 was yet another historic Major for the professional scene that crowned a legend of the game for the first time ever. One of only three CS2 Majors to have ever breached the two-million mark in terms of peak viewership, the FaZe Clan vs Natus Vincere Grand Final was the cherry on top for everyone that invested their time and passion into the event.

The series was essentially between the greatest to ever do it in Global Offensive looking for back-to-back crowns against the in-game leader that history will never forget. Two maps later, it was Finn “karrigan” Andersen that got the last laugh and claimed his debut Major triumph.

2. PGL Major Stockholm 2021

The first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major coming out of the pandemic era from 2020-2021, the PGL Major Stockholm held the record for most-watched Counter-Strike event of all time for nearly five whole years — and for good reason.

The predominant storyline leading up to the Grand Final was that of two veteran icons searching for their first-ever Major title, and it just so happened that the deciding series was the one everyone wanted to see. G2 and Natus Vincere set the all-time record for most viewed match in history at a peak viewership of 2,748,434, all of whom were witnesses to Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev’s first-ever title to date.

1. IEM Cologne Major 2026

The most recent Counter-Strike 2 Major is also now one of the most historic, both in terms of viewership and the storylines that played out throughout the competition. With a peak viewership of 2,752,353, it’s the most-watched CS2 Major (and CS2 event in general) of all time, just edging out the previous record held by the PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

The Cologne Major’s popularity cannot be understated, as three of the five most-viewed professional CS matches of all time took place at the event. G2 vs Team Spirit in the quarter-finals, Falcons vs Team Spirit in the semi-finals, and Falcons vs FURIA in the Grand Final all contributed to the record-shattering numbers that IEM Cologne 2026 put up.
