When and Where is the Next CS2 Major?

The IEM Cologne Major 2026 will likely go down in history as one of the best of the modern era, if not of all time. A first Major final for most of the players involved, the allure of playing in one of the most prestigious tournaments ever, and, of course, the long-awaited Major title for Nikola “NiKo” Kovač.

With the high of the Major subsiding, all teams are now focused on their upcoming events for the next six months before taking on the second and final Major of 2026. But where exactly is the next Major taking place, and when is it going to happen?

Southeast Asia Hosts The PGL Major 2026

For the first time in history, the Counter-Strike 2 Major circus will be heading to Southeast Asia this November with the PGL Major Singapore 2026. The Singapore event will be PGL’s return to hosting the biggest tournament in all of CS for the first time since the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.

The exact same format as the Cologne Major will be followed, with 32 teams in all competing for the second Major trophy of the year, and a best-of-five Grand Final in the Singapore Indoor Stadium will serve as the battleground for the strongest teams.

Invites For The Counter-Strike Major Explained

The 32 teams will be determined through a series of invites based on their Valve Regional Standings, with each of the three group stages featuring various international teams.

Asian teams will receive five invites altogether, with the highest-ranked squad being placed directly into Stage 2 while the others have to battle it out in Stage 1.

Nine teams from the Americas region, including North and South America, will make the trip to Singapore either in Stage 1, Stage 2, or Stage 3. Two teams will receive direct Stage 3 invites, one will be placed in Stage 2, and the other six will debut in the opening stage.

Unsurprisingly, European teams will receive the most amount of invite spots for the Singapore Major. Six will be seeded into Stage 1, another six in Stage 2, and the top six straight into Stage 3.

PGL Major Singapore 2026 Schedule So Far

The final schedule for the PGL Major Singapore 2026 is still unknown, but the event itself will run from November 25 to December 13, with the playoffs starting on December 10 and continuing all the way to the final day’s Grand Final.
