The stone hatchet is an extremely viable tool you will run into early during your Rust wipe. The tool is great for harvesting resources such as wood and also damaging objects such as buildings or barrels. The versatile tool has over 45 skins, and in this list, we will be covering the top 10 best Rust stone hatchet skins.
First on our list of Rust Stone Hatchet skins is the Dragon Glass Stone Hatchet. The hatchet, forged out of molten obsidian glows towards the handle as dark shards stick out of each side of the tool. Char marks cover the dark wooden handle which is wrapped in a worn black leather. Overall, the Dragon Glass Stone Hatchet is an amazing choice for anyone looking for great glowing Rust skins.

Next on our list of Rust skins is the Stone Hatchet from Hell. This devilish skin takes it up a notch with glowing orange symbols engraved into the obsidian rock. The charred wood handle is also filled with these satanic engravings all the way to the hilt. To add the finishing touches, the blade is welded to the handle with some metal, and a leather handle has been attached to the hilt of the hatchet.

The Morganite Stone Hatchet is another great Rust skin. This time, the blade is made out of a giant morganite gemstone, with smaller gemstones being wrapped around the dark brown wooden handle. The orange and pink gems on the skin reflect brightly in the sun, giving the item an absolutely stunning look.

Coming up with a more extravagant skin is the Midas Hatchet. The skin has a light wooden handle with a golden rock for the blade. The rock gets goldener and goldener, the closer it is to the point, creating a unique pattern as the skin slowly turns from stone to gold. Sadly, while it would make this hatchet skin even cooler, the contents of whatever you hit with this magnificent hatchet will not turn to gold.

The Volcanic Stone Hatchet is a class Rust stone hatchet skin being the third skin introduced to the tool way back in 2017. The hatchet’s blade is formed out of a volcanic rock which still remains molten, glowing deep red between the cracks of the fiery rock. It is connected to a charred brown handle by black leather strips that burn around the edge. Overall, if your looking for a nostalgic classic that holds up to this day, the Volcanic Stone Hatchet has you covered.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, we have skins such as the Ancient Amber Stone Hatchet. The tool’s blade is made entirely out of glowing amber, and the fossil of a massive bug is contained inside of it. More amber can be found at the tops and bottoms of the wooden handle while black cloth wraps its way around it, creating a comfortable grip for the item. The amount of detail put in this skin is incredible, and the idea of using a fossil as a tool as a skin is unheard of in Rust.

With a more cartoony look, we have the Sea Monster. This skin turns the blade into an entire shark fit with a big red mouth full of very sharp teeth, two big beady eyes on the side, and even some nostrils. The shark is ready to eat whatever you swing at while the handle is fit to keep you comfortable with red leather wrapping around it. The Sea Monster is the perfect choice for any fans of our fellow sea critters.

Next up were moving into the festive spirit with a Christmas-themed stone hatchet skin. The Ice Tooth keeps things simple with a basic wooden handle wrapped in red and white cloth. The blade is where things get interesting, however, as it is made entirely of ice. The shard of ice reflects nicely in the sun, complimenting the jolly look of this great all-around skin.

In the second spot, we have the Ruby Hatchet. Possibly the most detailed on this list, the Ruby hatchet features a bright ruby blade held to the handle by pieces of wood and a golden chain. Instead of the cloth wraps we’re used to seeing wrapped around the hatchet, several pieces of brown leather with ruby and gold chains take the place of the cloth. The Ruby Hatchet makes it so far up the list due to the insane level of detail you can rarely find on other skins.

In first place sits the Vampire Stone Hatchet. This skin rests above the rest, elevating quality, creativity, and detail. The blade is made from small silver pieces that seem to be connected together by some sort of purple dark magic. The handle has been turned into a soft gray to contrast the brighter colors, while on the side of the handle, a small purple and silver skull can be spotted. The rest of the handle is wrapped with purple studded and checkered leather. The immense amount of time and thought that was clearly put into the Vampire Stone Hatchet is what puts it above the rest of the skins on this list.
