Rust Item Store: Rust Skins Weekly Rotation Review (06/12)

It’s the second Thursday of the month, meaning the Rust item store has rotated, bringing new weapons, armors, and deployables for your collection. A total of 9 skins were added to the game this week, with collections receiving further items, while new collections are created entirely. Sit back as we cover everything added in this week’s Rust item store.

This Week’s Rust Item Store

Cobalt Jungle Container SMD

The first skin added to this week’s Rust item store is the Cobalt Jungle Container SMD. This sheet metal door skin, designed by Cubist, is made out of the door of a green shipping container that has become overgrown with vines. The mossy door also features thin slits in the door giving you a safe way to peek outside of your base.

Heat Seeker Python

The Heat Seeker Python is yet another skin added to this recently created collection, designed by Veys. Similar to the other weapons from the set, the Python features a unique colorful effect without actually glowing. Furthermore, it has transparent rear sights, making it much easier to use in battle and offering a slight visual advantage.

Bamboo Cage Locker

The third skin entering the Rust item store this week is the Bamboo Cage Locker. The skin, created by korry, features a transparent cage design made out of thick logs of bamboo tied together by twine. The simple skin blends in perfectly with the jungle environment, especially when paired with Rust’s Jungle Stone Building Skin.

Island Assault Team Facemask and Chestplate

The Island Assault Team Facemask and Chestplate are a gray pair of metal armor that feature a modern military look. The skins were created by Uncle and serve as their 2nd and 3rd accepted items, respectively. Their simple and sleek colors and designs are a wonderful fit for any military fanatic.

Twisted Metal Double Door

The Twisted Metal Double Door, designed by JohnnyO1dBoy, uses a similar design to the previous pieces of the collection. A large skeletal face is formed out of constructed pieces of sharp metal and fitted with void-like eyes staring into the soul of whoever faces the door. The double door skin is a great addition to the Rust item store, and a nice choice for fans of its metallic look.

CocoKnight Bandana

The CocoKnight Bandana was designed by Mishka to fit with the Coconut Wooden Armor set added with Rust’s Jungle Update. The bandana has a very plain design utilizing strips of coconut wrapped in twine to form the shape of the mask.

Cryo Small Box

Next up in the Rust item store is the Cryo Small Box. This futuristic skin made by FUF features a metal base that is covered in glowing lights and buttons. The top of the box is removed while a frozen-over window has been placed on the side of the container, allowing you to see through the side of it. Caution tape wraps around the top of the box, finishing off this creative skin.

Grim Garden AR

The final skin being added to the Rust item store this week is the Grim Garden AR. The assault rifle skin uses a complex design mixing a matte black paint with several materials such as wood, bones, and red cloth to give the weapon a visual pop. The creator, TIGREX, also added floral patterns and a painted skeleton, furthering the weapon’s immense detail.
