How to Apply Rust’s Wallpapers

Rust’s wallpapers can be placed onto any building tile using the newly added Wallpaper Tool. The tool can be crafted from 10 cloth and does not require any blueprint or workbench. While holding the tool and staring at a building tile, use right click to select your wallpaper, and left click to place. Each wallpaper requires a total of 5 cloth to craft.

Default Floor Wallpapers

Four floor wallpapers are given to all players by default. A plain tan carpet labelled “Default” is the primary option, while the other options include a plain burgundy carpet, blue vintage asbestos tiles, and yellow vintage asbestos tiles. While they are nothing fancy, the default wallpapers allow all Rust players, DLC or not, to spice up their base.

The Parquet Herringbone floor wallpapers come in three different variants. Each one offers a different style of diagonally set wood, allowing you to check for the perfect fit inside your Rust base. The Metal Treadplate comes in a single style and is fit for a much more industrial base. The rusted metal floor is fitted with a treadplate pattern, creating a rough and used look. This type of floor wallpaper would be perfect to apply in electrical rooms or to be fitted on top of an armored foundation.

The final type of floor wallpaper added by Rust’s Floor & Ceiling Wallpaper Pack is the Marble Tiles. Each variant is polished, with the first using the default cracked appearance you’d expect from marble tiles, while the second set is formed of small marble squares forming a cube-like pattern.

Default Ceiling Wallpapers

Similar to the floor wallpapers, Rust players will also receive four ceiling wallpapers for free. The options are extremely limited, with there being a white tiled pattern, two different colored types of plaster, including blue and green, and a simple, uncolored plasterboard wallpaper. While they may be bland and lackluster in color, they get the job done for those using them.
