How to Get Rust’s Wood Gloves
Rust recently added a large number of items with the May 2025 Jungle Update. This batch of items included a new glove option for Rust players to love: wood gloves. The new item falls between leather gloves and roadsign gloves in terms of protection, making them a great option in the early game.
Rust Wood Gloves Recipe

The wooden gloves are a default blueprint and do not require a workbench to be crafted. Although the description of the Rust item states that they are made of wood and leather, they only require 100 wood and 15 cloth each to craft. The item’s craft time falls in line with that of the leather gloves, which require a total of 15 seconds to make.
Rust Wood Gloves Stats
The wooden gloves protect the chest and give the following benefits:
-
1Projectile Protection: +7%
-
2Melee Protection: +10%
-
3Bite Protection: +5%
-
4Radiation Protection: +4%
-
5Cold Protection: +5%
Overall, the new wood gloves help work towards reshaping the game’s meta and increasing the TTK (Time To Kill) by providing more protection in the early game. As for now, the item is not skinnable, so don’t expect to add a wood glove skin to your item store cart anytime soon. However, the new Rust Jungle Pack DLC does offer a Coconut Armor Glove skin for the gloves.
