Where to Find the Rust Recycle Bin Upgrade

The recycle bin workbench upgrade is not craftable or researchable, meaning it can only be found in loot. Currently, it can be found exclusively in brown crates or their equivalent blue crates found in Underwater Labs and the Arctic Base. You may occasionally find it listed for sale in a player-owned vending machine.

Reworked Rust Recycle Bin Features

The new reworked recycle bin workbench upgrade now features an inventory for recycled materials to accumulate. The inventory features a total of 18 slots, allowing it to hold a large amount of your recycled materials. Materials that are recycled will now automatically enter the new inventory instead of clogging the player’s inventory. Items cannot be manually placed into the recycle bin as it does not accept items from players.

How to Use The New Rust Recycle Bin

Rust’s recycle bin workbench upgrade is one of the simplest workbench upgrades to use. Simply craft an item within the range of the workbench, and the recycle bin will have a chance to refund 10% of the item’s crafting cost. The bin can be great for saving raw materials when crafting batches of items such as Medical Syringes or ammo.
