Radtown Recycler

Rust’s Radtown Recycler is the stronger of the two recycler options. It works at 120% efficiency, granting the full amount of resources your component is worth. It also recycles much faster than its competitor at a rate of a cycle every 5 seconds. The Radtown Recycler can be found at most non-safe zone monuments, with their location varying monument to monument.

Safezone Recycler

The Safezone Recycler is the second of Rust’s two recycler types. It works at 80% efficiency, granting 2/3rds the resources of the Radtown Recycler. The recycler is found exclusively in the Outpost, Floating City, and Bandit Camp safe zones at various locations. It is the weaker of the two recyclers, breaking down items at a rate of one cycle every 8 seconds. While the Safezone Recycler is less rewarding, it offers a secure way to scrap your items.

Recycler Tool

Rusthub’s recycler tool is a helpful resource to see what your components stash is worth before recycling. The Rusthub tool allows you to input any combination of components, select the recycler type, and see the minimum, average, and maximum amount of resources you will receive. The advanced tool is extremely helpful to calculate the exact amount you wish to recycle so you don’t risk losing any unnecessary components.

That covers everything you need to know about Rust’s recyclers. Be sure to check out the recycler tool to find out the exact amount of resources your components could convert to. If you enjoyed this blog feel free to check out our Rust raiding guide. See you next time!
