Rust Item Store: Rust Skins Weekly Rotation Review (08/21)

A large number of items have entered the Rust item store this week, completing and extending a lot of the game’s older collections. A total of 19 items have been introduced this week, giving you plenty of options to choose from. Let’s dive deep into this expanded Rust item store.

Legacy Kevlar Jacket

The first skin in this week’s Rust item store is the Legacy Kevlar Jacket by Kosem. The skin was finally added after a year and completes the Legacy set with its matte black and padded look.

Cow Moo Flage Jacket

Speaking of jackets, the Cow Moo Flage Jacket by Milho Frito was finally added to the popular collection after 3 years of waiting. The jacket takes on the look of a cow with a white base splattered with black spots, a group of udders along the back, and the head of a cartoonish cow for a hood.

Polymer L96

Krovv’s Polymer L96 brings the military design of the collection to the high-power sniper rifle. The look is simple and clean with a sleek tan base paired with brown highlights along the barrel and receiver.

Bloody Pants

The Bloody Pants by Milho Frito finally joins the existing Bloody Hoodie and Boots in the Rust item store, with an extremely classic and old-school look. The bloody stained pants use a simple camo inspired by M81 US Woodland, originally used by the U.S. Armed Forces.

Military Storage Wooden Double Door

The first deployable to enter this week’s Rust item store is La Crampe’s Military Storage Wooden Double Door. While the material of the door may not be military-grade, its design is, with a layer of green paint covered in different military designs.

Redemption Pump Shotgun

The Redemption Pump Shotgun blasts its way into the Rust item store with its bright and metallic pink color. Matte black accents cover the handguard and wrap around the aerodynamic skin ,giving it a unique but balanced appearance.

Greening Area Locker

After nearly a year, the Greening Area Locker has rotated to the Rust item store. The deployable follows the same designs as previous items from the collection, with a glowing green mass bordered by thick steel linings and small holographic screens.

Volcanic Stone Pick Axe

The Volcanic Stone Pick Axe by v1duk4 finally enters the Rust item store after a long 4 years of waiting. The glowing stone pick is made of charred wood, which still burns from its own bright orange volcanic blade.

Oasis Sheet Metal Double Door

Papakri’s Oasis Sheet Metal Double Door enters the Rust item store as the 4th piece in the collection, which consists of only deployables. The double door features a hand-painted oasis that stretches across each of the doors. An eye rests above in the glowing night sky, staring into the distance.

Playmaker SAR

The Playmaker collection by Diva Dan actually received two additions in this Rust item store, with the SAR being the first of the two. The video game-themed weapon uses a white and yellow base, while the receiver of the weapon is designed to be used as a handheld console. The weapon even goes the extra mile using a game cartridge as the magazine for a nice finishing touch.

Scrapper Facemask & Chestplate

Next up is the Scrapper Facemask and Chestplate, both of which join JohnnyO1dBoy’s collection after 6 years of waiting. The items have an apocalyptic theme, pairing red and yellow and checkered scrap metal with a menacing appearance.

Space Raider Roadsign Gloves & Boots

Another two-piece set entering the Rust item store is the Space Raider Roadsign Gloves & Boots by UAD6. The blue space-themed items are full of references with stars, rockets, and astronauts spreading across the skins. For long-time fans of the cartoonish set, these are the perfect pieces to finish it off.

Prototype Icepick

The Prototype Icepick by Zedskipper is meant to slot in perfectly alongside the existing Prototype metal tools from the Lumberjack Pack DLC. It features a minimalistic metal look with red and black accents, creating a refined and clean look.

Opulent Roadsign Gloves & Boots

The final two-piece set joining this week’s Rust item store are the Opulent Roadsign Gloves and Boots by Duck. These simple yet beautiful skins are a mesh of shiny yellow and matte black. The glowing yellow material is divided into small triangles, which reflect light in all directions, forming a glowing look.

Skullkiller Boots

Speaking of simple skins, Horameow’s Skullkiller Boots follow a similar design with a mix of bright blue and black. The colors are placed in a unique pattern, which highlights the metallic blue and pairs well alongside the rest of the Skullkiller collection.

Playmaker Boots

Finally, we have the Playmaker Boots, the second item added to Diva Dan’s legendary collection. These velcro boots are a mix of white, yellow, and blue, and are full of retro designs. Most notable is a white heart that rests on the back of each boot.
