Rust Item Store: Rust Skins Weekly Rotation Review (12/19)
The Rust item store has finally rotated, bringing with it 10 more holiday-themed items. This week’s store marks the second week of Christmas-themed skins in the Rust store, and they sure didn’t miss the mark. Stay tuned as we dive into a detailed review of all 10 skins added by this week’s Rust item store rotation.
Check out a complete breakdown of this year's Rustmas here:
Christmas Miracle Door
The first skin added by this week’s Rust item store is the Christmas Miracle Door. This skin features an anime girl with blue eyes and white hair. He is dressed in a Christmas outfit and opening a green present. The background of the skin is blue with a red and white outline. The skin is very festive and a great choice if you don’t want to miss out on having an anime-themed base.
Christmas Eve Box
The next skin added by the Rust item store is the Christmas Eve Box. This large wood box skin features a bright open sky on the top, with the Aurora Borealis glowing and the moon shining brightly. Over the moon, you can see the shadow of Santa flying. If you look down below the ski, you can see a snow village landscape getting its presents delivered. This is by far one of the most detailed large box skins in the game and is worth checking out.
Gingerbread Hammer
The third skin introduced by this week’s Rust item store is the Gingerbread Hammer. The hammer has an evil gingerbread face on the side of the hammer with a cracked green eye, blue eyebrows, and a devious red smile. The rest of the skin is made of a brick of gingerbread with the edges lined in icing.
Rust Christmas Double Door
The Rust Christmas Double Door encapsulates Rust Christmas, filling the sheet metal double door with countless references, such as a hazmat suit and the Lighthouse to reference the game. The entirety of the door is made of gingerbread, while the small Christmas lights hang down from the top. All the Rust decorations are made out of icing and candy.
Snowman Backpack
The cutest skin added to the Rust item store this week has to be the Snowman Backpack. This backpack is an extremely detailed snowman condensed into the form of a backpack. The snowman is topped with a hat, a scarf, a big carrot nose, and two red cheeks. An overall adorable backpack skin that you don’t want to miss out on this Christmas season.
Candy Cane Eoka
The Candy Cane Eoka is the first weapon added by this week’s Rust item store. The weapon is made out of a thick red and white candy cane, with the small metal part at the front remaining unchanged. The skin is simple yet an amazing concept due to the candy cane shape of the Eoka.
Wrapped Collection
The Wrapped collection added to this Rust item store consists of two pieces: a metal facemask and chest plate. The facemask is a cardboard facemask wrapped in red and green wrapping paper and covered in star decorations. As you move your way down to the chest plate, not much changes as it is still shoddily made of cardboard and the same red and green wrapping paper. The handmade look makes the collection fit in perfectly with the game.
Christmas Wreath Poncho
The Christmas Wreath Poncho is one of the most jolly skins added this week, as you are quite literally wearing a Christmas Wreath around your body. The green wreath is full of different lights, ornaments, bows, pinecones, and even candy canes. It is very well-designed, and every single ornament and light added looks like it had a lot of time put into where it was placed. This skin marks another great primitive Christmas skin being added to the market.
Merry Fire AR
The last skin added to this week’s Rust item store is the Merry Fire AR. This hand-painted AR has a gritty, realistic look with small mistletoes and on top of a blue design painted over it. On the magazine rests a red and green plaid cloth, adding the further depth that makes this skin absolutely amazing.
