Rust’s Easter event is in full swing, offering a variety of festive activities for players to enjoy. Join in the easter egg hunt to win in-game rewards, challenge the leaderboard, or enjoy a variety of cosmetics added to celebrate the event. Follow along as we cover everything you need to know about Rust’s in-game easter event.
The Easter Egg hunt is the main attraction in Rust’s easter event. Every in-game day, festive music will start playing along with an on-screen pop-up notifying players of the event. Once it begins, glowing eggs will spawn around the player, which can be picked up when interacted with. An egg basket can be used to instantly pick up eggs, while other festive items provide Egg Vision, making the eggs brighter. A server-wide leaderboard will be visible in the top-left corner of the screen, granting rewards to the top 3 players.

The painted eggs you collect can be combined in groups of 10 to create bronze eggs. This can be continued by upgrading 10 bronze eggs into a silver egg and 10 silver eggs into a golden egg. The rewards scale with each egg, with the golden egg granting military-grade items. Festive Rust Easter event items can also be obtained from the eggs, like the previously mentioned egg basket, as well as a bunny suit and bunny ears.

Exclusive to this year’s Rust Easter event is a bunny costume, which acts as a skin for the Wood Armor Pants. The skin comes in three separate variants, with more information available in our blog covering the item.

Along with the bunny costume is a set of easter-themed wallpapers for the event, which each can be purchased separately from the Rust item store. Wallpapers for both flooring and walls are available for players to purchase at a cost of $2.99 each.

The final item exclusive to 2026’s easter event is the decorative Amethyst Rustige Egg. The egg joins a collection of other colored variants from the previous Rust easter events, which occurred over the years. The bejeweled egg can be interacted with, revealing a golden miniature version of the Giant Excavator Monument. When opened, the egg also begins to play a short rendition of Rust’s soundtrack.

That covers everything added with Rust’s 2026 easter event. Enjoy the festivities while they last, all the way up until April 16th. If you enjoyed this blog, feel free to check out other blogs on our page. See you next time!
