Rust Twitch Drops “Local Legends” Event

The new Jungle Update (link) has brought a new Twitch drop event, adding seven general drops for you to add to your collection. The drops began May 1st at 7:00 PM UTC and run until May 28th, 11:59 PM UTC, so you have all month before you miss the drops. The skins consist of deployables, each representing a different line of official servers. Ensure you visit the Rust Twitch Drops page to link your Steam and Twitch accounts to claim drops. You can watch any Rust streamer with drops enabled to claim these new items. You can check your progress towards the next drop by visiting the drops tab in your profile.

RustSpain Sleeping Bag

The first Twitch drop added by the Local Legends event is the RustSpain Sleeping Bag. You must watch a Rust Twitch stream for 2 hours to claim this drop. The bag is made of a breathable fabric with glowing neon lights.

Rusty Moose Garage Door

After watching a Rust Twitch stream for four hours, you can redeem the Rusty Moose Garage Door drop. Rusty Moose, founded in 2013, is known for being one of the oldest and largest Rust communities. Their unique garage door skin uses a colorful mosaic design with a large glowing moose and aurora.

Rustafied Large Box

The Rustafied Large Box drop can be claimed after watching a Rust Twitch stream for 6 hours. Rustafied is known for its extremely friendly servers and helpful Rust guides. This black and red box features the Rustafied logo in glowing neon lights.

r/PlayRust Armored Door

Watch a Rust Twitch stream with drops enabled for 8 hours, and you can claim the r/PlayRust Armored Door. Rust’s subreddit officially runs the group of servers. The skin reflects that by using an upvote pattern along the base of the door, along with displaying the subreddit’s name.

Rusticated Garage Door

You are able to be eligible to receive the Rusticated Garage Door after watching a Rust Twitch stream for 10 hours. The medieval garage door features the server line’s name and two large glowing torches.

Rustoria Metal Door

The Rustoria Metal Door can be claimed after watching any participating players on Twitch for 12 hours. The skin captures the look of their existing collection with a colorful geometric design, allowing you to have a themed inventory for free if you’ve claimed previous drops.

Rustopia Large Box

After watching a Rust Twitch stream for 14 hours, the final drop can be claimed. The Rustopia Large Box features the company’s logo in glowing orange paint over a black base, making it a simple skin that can easily blend in with an orange collection.

The Rust Local Legends event is meant to pay homage to Rust’s official community servers. With the new event live, be sure to check out some Rust streamers to claim your drops. If the items are not appearing in your Steam inventory, be sure to check for missed drops on the Rust website or attempt to relink your Steam account to Twitch. You can unlink it by signing out of the account on the Rust drops website.
