In Rust’s new Power Trip update, new freezers were added to the Abandoned Supermarkets containing fresh food for players to collect. The supermarket freezers are connected to the new power grid system, requiring a consistent stream of electricity from the Power Plant to begin spawning provisions. Follow along as we teach you how to use the new Abandoned Supermarket freezers.
The new freezers spawn inside the Abandoned Supermarket. Up to two Abandoned Supermarkets can spawn on a vanilla server’s map. The freezer labeled “Meat Locker” can be found against the left wall next to the broken vending machine.

The Abandoned Supermarket freezers can be powered through the new heavy fuse boxes found in Power Plant. The boxes must be powered with heavy fuses, which spawn in both brown and military crates. Power phase one must be achieved to power the freezers, requiring 1-3 heavy fuses. As you insert the fuses, the first of four green lights will begin to glow, indicating you’ve successfully reached power phase one.

The Abandoned Supermarket freezers provide a consistent source of high-end food consisting of raw meat, berries, fish, and even fully-cooked pies. The freezer will slowly respawn with more and more food over time, varying in quantity. The food will slowly stack over time, allowing unattended freezers to build up large amounts of provisions.
