Rust Item Store: Rust Skins Weekly Rotation Review (02/20)
After another week-long wait, the new Rust item store introduced this Thursday brings with it 10 new skins. Choose between securing the new medieval items or increasing your fashion level with some general weapons, deployables, clothing, and more in this packed Rust item store. Follow along for our review of this week’s amazing Rust item store.
Red Monarch Crown and Cape

The Red Monarch Crown and Cape are skins added to the Rust item store for the baseball cap and jacket, respectively. The Rust skins continue the medieval theme of the recent item shops, allowing players to show off their royalty with a golden, fur-lined, and ruby-embedded crown paired with a beautiful red-lined cape lined entirely in thick white fur. Set out on horseback to play, explore, and conquer lands with this legendary pair of royal attire.
Black Ops SAR

The Black Ops SAR is the second skin added to the Black Ops collection, following the AR skin from the Rust item store two weeks ago. It continues the minimalistic look with its carbon fiber appearance, which a thick metal chassis has sectioned off. The SAR is stockless, only with a small buffer tube extending outwards from the receiver, following the same trend as the other skin in the collection. The small iron sight has been painted red, enhancing its visibility in combat situations and helping make the skin worth the money.
Popstar LR

Next up in the Rust item store, we have the Popstar LR. Another skin continuing a collection that hasn’t seen a new skin in over four months. The colorful LR is covered in anime-themed references and designs, with the main attraction being the girl centered on the skin, posing with her hands. The text “Pop Star” is written in yellow next to her, solidifying her experience while her purple hair flows left and right across the entirety of the LR. The sleeves of her red and green coat stretch downwards, with the artwork covering the entire magazine and the pistol grip, and then she goes out of view. The stock is painted in a light blue design with small stars drawn over it, creating a gradient across, making everything click for this wonderful hand-drawn LR skin.
Protector Garage Door

The Protector Garage Door is a massive lead door that protects against radiation or other hazards. It features two bright white lights, a cutout for peeking outside, and a massive yellow warning sign plastered on the front. The lead plates are shoddily welded and secured together, while small metal latches hold each piece of the garage door in place. Overall, the Protector Garage Door is a simple yet useful skin. With its bright lights and centered mesh cutout, you get more than you paid for.
Medieval Hammer

The Medieval Hammer continues the theme of this month’s Rust update. Its dark wooden design is encased in bright silver metal. Gold nails embezzle the metal plates, holding them in place, while a spearhead emblem sits on the hammer’s center. The hammer has a refined look that perfectly complements the other medieval skins and is worth browsing for in the Rust item store.
Ultramarine Hoodie and Pants

The Ultramarine Hoodie and Pants finally find their way into the Rust item store, ready to be paired with the rest of the road sign and metal collection sitting in the marketplace and in our inventories. The set mixes a smooth black material with a cool purple light from the cracks. The light has the cool effect of not glowing, allowing you to wear it safely in the night around other players. The Ultramarine set has yet to miss and continues to improve in quality.
Large Small Box

The Large Small Box added by this week’s Rust item store, converts the small wood storage box into a replica of the large wood box. The small box is colored to match the light wood of the large wood box while also being lined and plated with metal to encapsulate its larger brother’s look fully. The Large Small Box is the perfect Rust skin to pair with the default large wood box, saving you from adding extra skin to your cart.
Knight Backpack

The final skin being added to this week’s Rust item store is the Knight Backpack. The backpack is mostly leather overlapped with pockets and blue cloth, however, the two frontmost pockets have each been redesigned into a wooden barricade and shield. The shield is plated in metal, painted in a blue and white pattern, and is easy to access, loosely attached to the back of the backpack. The Knight Backpack is the perfect utility to send with you onto the medieval battlefield and has all the supplies you will ever need.
That’s everything for sale inside of this week’s Rust item store.
