Rust Item Store: Rust Skins Weekly Rotation Review (11/21)
It’s Thursday, and the Rust item store finally rotated, bringing with it the first purchasable Large Backpack skins, skins from your favorite collections that have waited years to be accepted, and the beginning of a tier 1 set of Blackout skins. The Rust item store, being dubbed “Complete The Sets 2024,” brings with it 12 items being accepted into the game, and it is time to review every single one of them.
This Week’s Rust Item Store
No Mercy Backpack
$1.48

The No Mercy Backpack is the first skin added to this week’s Rust Item Store and marks itself as one of the first purchasable large backpacks in the game. It is part of the No Mercy collection, an absolute classic, and features a white and black color scheme with the iconic silver skull and wings.
Blackout Burlap Set

The infamous Blackout collection is seeing a breakthrough into primitive clothing with the addition of a pair of burlap pants and a burlap shirt. The collection, which hasn’t had a clothing item accepted since the Blackout poncho in 2022, looked seemingly abandoned. However, the introduction of these primitive clothing has brought life back into the players who have hoped to see a continuation of this set for years. The fully black cloth clothes are sleek, stealthy, and perfect for any inventory.
Hardsuit Backpack
$0.87

The second purchasable large backpack to be introduced into the Rust item store is the amazing Hardsuit Backpack. A member of the Hardsuit collection. The backpack has the gray metal with gold bolts look we’ve come to love with the Hardsuit collection. The skin is simple, clean, and a perfect way to introduce skins for the Large Backpack into the game.
Tempered Armored Door
$1.83

The Tempered Armored Door brings the deployables in the Tempered Collection into Tier 3. It has the classic tempered look inspired by the Fade skins from CS2. Geometric patterns divide the tempered metal, creating an artistic look and making the perfect armored door for any base.
Thundergold SAP
$2.69

Next up is the Thundergold SAP. This skin is the 12th item introduced into the Thundergold collection. It marks the 3rd entry for tier 2 weapons in the collection. It features the classic white and gold honeycomb look with golden thunderbolts going down the side of the skin. I’m sure we can all agree that the Thundergold collection has yet to miss.
Toy Thompson
$2.58

The seventh skin introduced to the “Complete The Sets” store is the Toy Thompson. The skin acts as a continuation of the Toy collection, which always comes around to the Rust store time and time again with its toy-themed items, weapons, and armor. The Toy Thompson is no different with its red, blue, and yellow color scheme. The skin also features a double A battery as the magazine, an on and off switch, and other small references to toy guns.
Glacial Visage Sleeping Bag
$2.37

Coming up next is a continuation of the Glacial Visage deployable set. The sleeping bag comes in as the 5th piece added to this collection. It follows the exact same theme as the other pieces, with the metal goat in front and center, its haunting blue eyes staring straight into your soul. The base of the skin is made of ice with 5 runic symbols encased in metal sitting around the skin. This is another beautiful piece that will click right in with the other pieces of the collection.
Berserker Boots
$1.00

The Berserker clothing collection is finally seeing its finished piece, as it was missing the boots for over 2 years. The bloodied metal boots introduced to the Rust item store today fit the collection perfectly, encapsulating the look and feel of berserkers from pre-Viking times. Whether you are a fan of berserkers in movies or history, or you just like how they look, we can agree the Berserker collection is worth checking out.
Pixel Armored Double Door
$2.66

One of the largest collections in Rust has seen yet another continuation with the introduction of the Pixel Armored Double Door. With now 25 items accepted into the game, the Pixel collection is no doubt one of the largest collections in Rust, full of Minecraft-inspired pixel skins. This armored door is no different, with it being a straight replica of the original Rust Double Armored Door except pixelated. While the skin is pretty simple, it still manages to bring a unique art style to Rust that should be appreciated and loved.
Cargo Heli Hatchet
$0.88
and Pick Axe
$0.86

The final additions to this week’s Rust item store are the Cargo Heli Hatchet and Pick Axe. The skins are part of the Cargo Heli collection, which was originally introduced in 2020 with the Cargo Heli Small Storage Box. The skins are quite similar and keep it simple with a black and red finish and small blue accents. The heads of each tool both have a black chain link design replicating that of the Rust Cargo Heli crate. The simple design of the skins paired with its clever references to the Cargo Heli Rust event is what makes these skins great and the collection as a whole beloved by the community.
That’s it for this week’s review of the Rust item store. If you want to pick up any of these skins just head over to the Rust Item Store. We can only hope this “Complete The Sets” event continues as some of the most beloved collections in Rust are finally being finished.
