How to Partake in Rust’s Easter Event
Happy Easter, Everybody! This year’s Rust easter event brings an all-new Easter egg hunt for players to partake in from April 10th until April 24th. Starting sporadically every 24-38 in-game hours, random eggs will spawn around you, which you have a limited time to collect. Once you’re finished grabbing the eggs, they can be combined and upgraded into low to high-tier rewards.

How to Collect Eggs
Once the Rust easter event begins, search around you for a glowing and floating egg, which you can interact with to collect. The event lasts only three minutes, so collect as many eggs as possible. Once you have collected ten eggs, you can begin to combine them into bronze eggs, which can grant loot. While the bronze tier eggs mostly consist of junk such as wood and stone tools, they can also grant important items for egg hunting, such as the bunny ears or egg basket.

Boost Your Egg-Hunting Potential
Once you’ve obtained an egg basket, you will then be able to instantly collect eggs. Simply click on the egg while holding the egg basket instead of interacting, and you will instantly reach out to grab the egg. The basket can be paired with other items from the Rust easter event, such as the bunny ears and even the bunny onesie, which comes from combining your bronze eggs into silver-grade eggs. These bright pink items grant egg vision, further brightening up the fun colored eggs and making them easier to see and gather.

Cash Out Your Easter Eggs
After hunting 1000 eggs, they can be combined together to form the pinnacle of the Rust easter event, the gold egg. To create this golden egg, you must combine your eggs into bronze eggs, which require 10 eggs each. From there, you can create a silver egg out of 10 bronze eggs and a gold egg out of 10 silver eggs. The tedious process pays off, however, as the legendary gold egg is able to grant the highest tier rewards consisting of military grade weapons, an MGL, various rockets (excluding the normal rocket), and even an M249.

That’s all you need to know to begin participating in this annual Rust easter event. So, with all your newfound egg knowledge, feel free to spend the next two weeks gathering, upgrading, and looting all of Rust’s easter eggs to crack open your way to the top.
