How to Get Crude Oil From the Rust Dome Pumping Station

In Rust’s new Power Trip update, an abundance of changes were made to several Rust monuments with the new player-maintained monuments system. One of these changes was to Rust’s Dome, which now features a crude oil pumping station. Follow along as we teach you how to activate and use Rust’s Dome pumping station.

How to Activate the Rust Dome Pumping Station

Rust’s Dome pumping station must be activated through the new power grid system. The monument activates at power phase 3. This requires 10-17 heavy fuses to be inserted into the new heavy fuse box. The box can be found in the Power Plant’s green keycard puzzle room. After power phase 3 is achieved, the pumping station must be toggled on through switches at either Oil Rig.

How to Toggle the Oil Rig Switches in Rust

Two switches are available to toggle Rust’s Dome pumping station. They can be found next to the Locked Crate in either Oil Rig. The switch inside the Small Oil Rig toggles the Dome pumping station at a 0.5x rate, while the switch inside the Large Oil Rig activates the station at a 1.0x rate. If both switches are toggled, the pumping station will pump crude oil at a rate of 1.5x.

How to Retrieve Crude Oil From Rust’s Pumping Station

Now that the station is activated, head to the dome, bringing a car with the fuel tank vehicle module installed. A large silo marked with an oil logo will be present, with several gas pumps outside of it. A hose tool can be used to connect the pump to the fuel tank, transferring the crude oil into the vehicle. Once full, the fuel can be extracted from the vehicle by using a modular car lift.
