In the most recent CS2 patch, changes were made to Imperial’s Budapest 2025 major sticker. The move comes only a day after the stickers were added with CS2’s Budapest Major Update. Imperial’s Relationship With Gamdom

Imperial originally partnered with the gambling site Gamdom on August 13th of 2025. At the time the deal was made, Imperial were all but guaranteed an invite to CS2’s Budapest 2025 Major, almost guaranteeing Gamdom a form of advertisement on CS2’s biggest stage. The brand deal brought along with it a rebrand of the team name as they officially became known as “Gamdom Imperial”. As a result, the teams original green logo was replaced by that of Gamdom’s to be used as the major sticker.

Imperial’s Original Major Sticker

The original sticker featured Gamdom’s green castle logo over a vibrant floral background. It was the first time in CS2 history that a gambling website managed to sneak its way into a major sticker capsule after many previously failed attempts made by other sites.

A day after Imperial’s sticker was introduced, CS2 released a small patch “updating” the Budapest 2025 Imperial Esports sticker artwork. With the update came the reversion of the logo to that of Imperial’s original logo used prior to the deal made on August 13th, of 2025. Imperial already reacted to the change on their X page, posting a single clown emoji as a response. The community has had mixed reactions as the sudden change was unexpected to most.

As the situation develops more and more questions are raised as to why the logo was accepted in the first place only to be removed a day later. Only time will tell what this means for gambling-sponsored teams as Valve or the CS2 team has yet to make a public statement on the matter.
