How do Charm Patterns Work?

Unlike weapon patterns, charm patterns actually work on a scale of 1-100,000 instead of the common 1-1000! Over a hundred times more charm patterns for each charm attachment than for a regular weapon skin. This means that the change between patterns is usually much less noticeable, as patterns use a range of colors rather than each being unique.
