With the new Rust Power Trip update, both old and new Rust items received animation and visual reworks, giving them crisp new looks and feels. The new master key finally received its model and animations after a month of not having one after being added with the Common Ground update. The Small Backpack has now become a skinnable item, while the arrow has received its first visual changes in a very long time. Follow along as we show you all of the new visuals in the Power Trip update.
Rust’s Master Key received new visuals in the form of both a model and animations after a month of not having one. The item was added in the Common Ground update as a way to raid players’ apartments. The new model consists of a fully modeled key ring with multiple keys. The animation shows the player trying each of the keys when using the item. Enjoy the new look and feel of breaking into apartments with the master key’s updated visuals.

Rust’s Arrow received a visual refresh after years of having a plain wooden look. The developers intended to make the arrow feel more “Rust” with the changes. The fletching of the arrow is now updated with a road sign-style look, while the shaft of the arrow features updated HD textures. The developers noted difficulty revamping the arrow, as it required both updated rigs and new prefabs.

The final visual update you may notice while running around Rust is the new Small Backpack skins. The item was finally made skinnable with this update, meaning skins will slowly trickle in as they are accepted into the Rust item store. As of now, a total of 3 skins have been accepted for the item.

That covers both the items receiving new visuals in Rust’s Power Trip Update. Enjoy both the new look of the arrow and the new model and animations of the Master Key as you explore the new Rust update.
