Rust Binoculars Refresh

The binoculars are the first item that received a refresh in this month’s Rust update. A new, gritty, high-definition model replaced the flat, colored look of the old binoculars, as well as a set of new animations. The UI has also been modernized, now including both a crosshair and a rangefinder. The refreshed binoculars can be paired alongside the new mortar to accurately line up long-distance shots. Along with the model changes, the binoculars crafting cost was also reduced. Crafting the binoculars now only requires metal fragments as opposed to both the fragments and gears.

Rust Salvaged Cleaver Refresh

The other Rust item to receive a refresh this month was the Salvaged Cleaver. It received a full remake, including a brand new 3D model and textures, as well as a set of new animations. The new look modernizes the forgotten melee weapon while staying true to its scrappy look. Unlike the salvaged axe from last month’s refresh, the salvaged cleaver sadly remains unskinnable.
