A new Rust DLC has arrived, bringing with it a brand new weapon skin designed by Facepunch themselves. The DLC arrived this month after the developers announced the delay of the Naval Update until February 2025. The highly detailed weapon skin can be applied to the LR-300 Assault Rifle and features a space-themed look. Follow along as we cover everything you need to know about the Rust Space LR-300 Assault Rifle DLC.
The star and only piece of the Rust Space LR-300 DLC is the rifle itself. The weapon is presented on a new model entirely with a boxy white industrial frame fit with “COBALT” logos and branding across it. The weapons rails, magazine, and barrel are made of a polished metal, giving the gun a quality appearance. The weapon skin features purple rear sights with a glowing yellow front sight. Finally, the Space LR-300 even has a fully functional ammo counter sticking out of its side.

The drawing feature of Rust’s Space LR-300 is its fully functional ammo counter. The flickering LED screen displays the active count of bullets inside the military-grade rifle and updates as you shoot. Once the bullet counter reaches six or fewer, a flashing arrow appears next to it, letting you know you’re low on ammo.

Prepare to take your arsenal to the stars and beyond by picking up Rust’s Space LR-300 Assault Rifle. The DLC can be purchased from inside Rust’s General Store or the in-game store for $6.99 and is not marketable or tradeable.
