History of HypeDrop

Once an item is unboxed, users have the choice to either sell it back to HypeDrop and receive more on-site balance to play with or withdraw the physical item to their doorstep. We should note that not all items are withdrawable; namely, items on the lower end of the price range typically cannot be shipped.

An extension of their “Unboxing” game, HypeDrop users have the option to bring a competitive aspect to their unboxing by “battling” other users. 

Users can create battles in which a range of other people can play, as dictated by the creator. For example, a user could create a battle with one open slot in a one-versus-one style or opt to lower the risk and open the box in a “shared mode” that splits the prizes amongst each entrant. 

Once a battle begins, each player in the battle opens cases at the same time. In the winner-takes-all showdown, the user that unboxes the most expensive items gets not only the items they unboxed themselves but also the winnings of the user they were battling.

HypeDrop also offers various battles, such as Crazy Mode, in which the roles are reversed—the user who unboxes the worst items receives the prize.

HypeDrop’s Deals

HypeDrop’s Deal game is their attempt at recreating the renowned and popular “Upgrader” featured on a lot of other similar websites. 

Players on HypeDrop can select an item they wish to get, and a scrollable bar allows them to add a certain amount of their on-site balance toward the “deal.” The more money they add, the better the odds they’ll get the desired item. For example, if a user wishes to acquire a $10 item can contribute just $5, then the odds will be around 50% of success.
