Five new Naval missions were introduced to Rust’s mission system with the Naval update. Each of the five missions offers great rewards, requiring players to venture out into the seas of Rust. In this blog, we will be guiding you through the Important Broadcast Mission, which grants a special reward item you cannot receive anywhere else.
Rust’s Important Broadcast Mission can be obtained from the Dive Master found in either of the Fishing Villages. The Dive Master can be spotted wearing a diving tank and a pair of jeans. He offers several missions, with the Important Broadcast mission being the third option.

Locate the Underwater Lab – Underwater Labs can be found marked near the border of Rust’s map.
Play the station Fishing Station 24/7 on an Underwater Lab boombox – Underwater Lab Boomboxes are often found in residential quarters and lounge areas. Interact with the boombox to access radio settings, allowing you to swap the station.
Repeat for up to two additional boomboxes for an additional 25 scrap each. – You may have to visit other Underwater Labs to find them.
Return to the mission provider – Return to the Dive Master who originally gave you the mission to receive your reward.

For completing Rust’s Important Broadcast mission, you’ll receive a Double Diving Tank, which can only be obtained by completing the mission. Check out our guide, which completely explains the new Double Diving Tank.
