The End of FaZe Clan’s Greatest Era

Under Karrigan’s second spell with FaZe, which lasted five consecutive years, the organization won numerous trophies, including their one and only Major Championship to date at PGL Antwerp in 2022.

In addition to the Major, Finn Andersen led his team to multiple Big Event trophies, including Season 4 of the Intel Grand Slam by winning IEM Katowice 2022, ESL Pro League Season 15, IEM Cologne 2022, and ESL Pro League Season 17 within a ten-event span.

The move wasn’t a sudden shift in the guard for FaZe Clan, as their struggles had been going on for more than a year. Karrigan’s last trophy with the team was all the way back at IEM Chengdu 2024, and even though FaZe have been competitive, especially at the Majors, it’s really time for a new chapter for the CS2 Karrigan.

What Does the Falcons’ Move Mean?

Karrigan joins a Falcons Esports team that has consistently been described as underperforming, given the talent they have on the roster. Despite having Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, Falcons always seem to falter at the final hurdle.

The addition of Karrigan brings in a true, Major-winning in-game leader to their ranks and adds another veteran alongside NiKo to lead the team. Whether it’s one last ride into the sunset of his career or a truly calculated move to further increase the awards showcased on his HLTV page is yet to be seen.

Regardless of how his stint with Falcons Esports goes, and whether or not the near future will be his last days of playing CS, karrigan’s legacy is already set in stone as one of the greatest players to ever pick up the mouse and keyboard.
