Budapest Major Pickems: How They Work & How To Do Them

A new exciting update has come, bringing new stickers, PickEms, sticker slabs, and much more! Like any major, who doesn’t want to earn the best coin possible! Today, we will be taking a look at the Budapest major pick ’ems, and how you can get that diamond coin!

How Do CS2 Budapest Pickems Work?

Pick’Ems are selected guesses of how teams will perform throughout the major. Players select which teams they believe will be in each category:

1. 3:0 Advancing – Two undefeated teams will end up here
2. 3:1 and 3:2 Advancing – Teams that advance to the next stage but take at least one loss
3. 0:3 Eliminated – Teams without a win, eliminated from the major

There are three stages before the finals, and you must place at least 5 correct guesses in each stage in order to upgrade your coin to the next level. Once play reaches the playoffs, guesses will depend on early-stage wins and losses, so these predictions cannot be made until later in the Major.

How to Do CS2 Major Pickems

1. Purchase a Budapest Major Pass in CS2
2. Open the Budapest Major 2025 menu in the game
3. Drag and drop teams into the respective slots you believe they belong in. Repeat this for stages one, two, and three
4. Lock in guesses within the allotted time
5. Once the stages end and before the playoffs start, create your playoff bracket, guessing the matchups and outcomes of each stage all the way to the grand final.

What Tasks Have to be Completed to Get Each Coin?

The following Tasks can be completed in order to upgrade one’s coin:

• Place pickems before each stage and before playoffs (Each stage counts for one task)
• Get 5 correct pickems in each stage (applicable for the first 3 stages)
• Get two correct quarterfinal Pickems
• Get one correct semifinal Pickem
• Get one correct final Pickem

How many tasks for each coin?

• Bronze: Simply activate a Viewer Pass
• Silver: Complete 4 Tasks (This is guaranteed even if all pickems are incorrect, as long as they are made)
• Gold: Complete 8 Tasks, requiring players to have 3 correct sets of pickems, whether in the stages or in individual finals
• Diamond: Complete 11 Tasks, meaning you must complete all tasks
