When fast reflexes and confidence are the two most important criteria in a role, you know it’s serious. Being an Entry Fragger is no joke, as often times it goes unrewarded (unfortunately), but on occasion, the work one puts in immediately translates to success for the team. Having the right person in the right role directly equates to any team’s success, and that’s no less true for this set of players.
Usually, the first ones in the line of fire, Entry Fraggers initiate contact for their team to secure control of vital areas on the map. Be it on T or CT side, the mission is to create space and influence enemy movement by their presence alone. This level of play is reserved for only the finest of riflers, and there are a handful who have excelled over thousands of professionals over the years. They are the best Entry Fraggers of all time.
Adam “friberg” Friberg was one of the early superstars of the Entry Fragger role when it comes to CS:GO/CS2 history. Best known for his time on Ninjas in Pyjamas, he gained a reputation for his aggressive playstyle and mastery over one particular area of one particular map: Banana on Inferno.
Known from generation to generation as the one true “King of Banana,” friberg is the single most dominant entry fragging player of all time when it comes to Banana control, which usually meant that NIP rarely had problems on Inferno’s B Site.

His 2013 numbers were just absurd – 0.12 Opening Kills Per Round, 50% Opening Success, and a whopping 78% Win Percentage After Opening Kill. He was a great Entry Fragger throughout his career and, during his prime in Counter-Strike, there was not a soul better than friberg.
Nikola “NiKo” Kovač has taken on a lot of roles throughout his long and decorated career, but his capacity as one of the best entry fraggers of all time should not be understated. The fact that his name is consistently mentioned amongst the game’s GOATs like Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, both of whom are AWPers, is a large hint as to just how good NiKo is.
NiKo’s Opening Kill Per Round of 0.14 is impressive and immediately puts him amongst the best in the world statistically, but his impact goes far beyond any kind of box score. NiKo has always been the best rifler on every single team he’s played for, and there’s so much proof to back it up. Now on Team Falcons, he’s still lethal as a hard entry, especially when the situation requires him to be.

While not viewed as a traditional Entry Fragger by many, NiKo’s definitely excelled in that position for a year. But then again, NiKo has also been a hard Lurker, AWPer, and IGL at some point. He’s really just good at everything.
This might be viewed as a stretch given how short his professional career has been thus far, but it would be a massive disservice to Danil “donk” Kryshkovets not to place his name on the list.
He was recognized as the best player in the world in 2024, and it’s looking increasingly likely that the same will be the case this year. One look at the statistics will tell you everything, he has incredible numbers on Entrying, Opening, and even Clutching. While others excel at one, donk’s number one at so many things.

He’s simply on another level when it comes to mechanical brilliance, and one can argue that he has the most accurate aim of any Counter-Strike player in the world at the moment. He is one of the most successful Entry Fraggers among those still competing and has already earned himself a place amongst the most impressive CS2 Entry Fraggers ever.
Imagine being nicknamed the “Smoke Criminal” because of your refusal to pay attention to smokes and going for opening duels instead. That kind of playstyle, if done enough in online matchmaking, might get you kicked off the team. But not if you’re Jake “Stewie2K” Yip.
During his prime in the late 2010s, Stewie2K was one of the most aggressive players in the entire world, and it always worked. He was the Entry Fragger/Secondary AWPer on Cloud9’s Major-winning squad, as well as the superstar Entry for Team Liquid in their 2019 Intel Grand Slam triumph. Good movement and the overwhelming confidence to enter a site all guns blazing were Stewie2K’s keys to being one of the top Entry Fraggers of his era.

Stewie2K’s greatest years are definitely behind him, but the excellence he showed from 2018-2019 is impossible to ignore. With a career 0.13 Opening Kills Per Round and 29.5% T Side Opening Attempt Percentage, Stewie2K was the gold standard of what an Entry Fragger should be.
It’s really not hard to pinpoint why Astralis were so successful during their time. Not only did they have the best IGL and one of the best AWPers in the world, but also one of the most consistent Entry Fraggers to ever turn professional.
Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen was yet another star on the most stacked roster in history that just stood head and shoulders above the rest. In his prime, dupreeh was a monster with the rifles. It’s easy to watch the numbers and say that other players on this list are far better, but just think about what his contributions did for Astralis.

He was there for every single one of Astralis’ tournament victories before the online era and bid farewell to Global Offensive as its winningest player in terms of prize money and Major championships. Shows up in Big Events, gets the opening frags, and impacts most rounds in a way only dupreeh can. All that while averaging 0.12 Opening Kills Per Round.
