FISSURE Playground 2

FISSUE Playground 2 is an upcoming LAN event that will be hosted in Belgrade, Serbia, from September 12 to 21. There will be a total of 16 teams at this tournament, with the invitations based on their VRS (Valve Ranking System) Global rankings as of July 2025, when the announcements for said event were first happening.

Among those participating are FISSURE Playground 1 champions TYLOO alongside runners-up Astralis, Asian powerhouse and Major grand finalists The MongolZ, and other top-ten sides such as FURIA and FaZe.

FISSURE Playground 2 will have two stages: the Swiss Stage and the Playoffs. The group stage of the tournament will be a standard Swiss System format, where the top eight teams advance to a single elimination playoff bracket. Every match will be best-of-three except the grand final, which is a best-of-five.

The total base prize pool for the tournament is $500,000, and grows to $1,250,000 when club shares are taken into consideration. The money distribution is as follows:

StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025

This event marks the triumphant return of the StarSeries brand to Counter-Strike esports after years on the sidelines. StarSeries Fall 2025 will be held in Budapest, Hungary, from September 18 to 21 and features a total of eight teams. Two of which come from past Major-winning organizations: Natus Vincere and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

The teams participating qualified for the event in two ways: first, through the VRS Global Rankings as of July 2025, and second, through the Europe Closed Qualifier event. NAVI, B8, NIP, and Passion UA all made it through the VRS Rankings, while 9INE, PARIVISION, OG, and Iberian Soul had to find their spot through the Europe Closed Qualifier.

StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025 will play out in a single stage of action, which is set in a double elimination bracket format. The difference of this to the traditional single elimination bracket is that losing teams will have a shot at redemption through a Lower Bracket all the way to the grand final.

The total prize pool for the tournament is $330,000. The money distribution is as follows:

  • 1st place: $200,000
  • 2nd place: $130,000
  • 3rd place: $70,000
  • 4th place: $40,000
  • 5-6th place: $20,000
  • 7-8th place: $10,000

ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 1

The latest ESL Pro League’s opening stage also happens to be the final Tier 1 tournament of the month, running from September 27 and crossing over to October 1. There are a total of 16 teams that will make the trip to Stockholm, Sweden, for Stage 1. Completing the list of competitors was done through a variety of ways, such as the VRS Ranking, ESL Challenger League, and other regional qualifiers.

Some of the most notable teams competing in Stage 1 of the ESL Pro League Season 22 event are Astralis, FURIA, and G2. Lesser-known teams such as HOTU, TNL, and Rooster join the mix as they all fight for only eight spots in Stage 2 of the competition.

Stage 1 will make use of a simple Swiss System format, as this stage is considered the group stage of ESL Pro League, where teams fight against each other to reach three match victories. All matches will be best-of-threes, and only the top half of the standings will move on.
