The month of August brings many exciting upcoming CS2 tournaments, from premier tournaments featuring the best teams gathered in competition to players in tier-two competition hoping to make it to the big stage. With four big CS2 tournaments planned, August will provide no shortage of professional Counter-Strike. S Tier Tournaments
The main highlight of August’s professional CS2 tournaments is IEM Cologne 2024, which features a play-in stage where teams will be battling for a spot in the main tournament, which already has eight teams confirmed. Join millions of other fans in watching these events, and may your favorite team win!
IEM Cologne 2024 Play-in
Date: Aug 7th – Aug 9th 2024
Location: Cologne, Germany
Number of Teams: 16
Teams Attending: Complexity, HEROIC, 9z, The MongolZ, Eternal Fire, Falcons, Liquid, BetBoom, FURIA, Flyquest, BIG, MIBR, paiN, Imperial, Saw, ALTERNATE aTTaX

Tournament Format: This tournament features teams competing in a double elimination best-of-three bracket, with the opening matches being a best-of-one. Losing teams proceed to the lower bracket, where they can still earn a spot by winning two more games. To secure a spot in the main tournament, teams must win two of three games.

Date: Aug 10th – Aug 18th 2024
Location: Cologne, Germany

Teams Attending: Spirit, Vitality, MOUZ, FaZe, Natus Vincere, G2, Virtus.pro, Astralis, 8 spots TBD

Tournament Format: IEM Cologne 2024 will feature a double elimination best of three in the group stage, where the group winners advance to the semi-finals, and the runner-up and third-place teams advance to the quarter-finals. The playoffs feature three stages: quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the grand finals. The grand finals will be a best of five.
BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2
Date: Aug 25th – Sep 1st 2024
Location: Belgrade, Serbia
Number of Teams: 12
Teams Attending: Spirit, MOUZ, Virtus.pro, FURIA, Aurora, BetBoom, one spot saved for the Europe Closed Qualifier winner, one spot saved for the South America Closed Qualifier, two playoff invites TBD, and two invites TBD.

Tournament Format: The entire tournament consists of just one bracket in a single elimination, which is the best of three formats.
