Fans are becoming more and more hyped every day over which teams they think will play the best and take the win.

Pick’Em Challenge

The Pick’Em Challenge, just like before, is free to participate in, however, if you want to activate and upgrade your Shanghai 2024 Coin and earn souvenir packages you will need to purchase a Shanghai viewer pass which we will cover all the details about below.

In order to upgrade your coin for the first stage, you will need to make five correct Pick’Em predictions. This means out of the 16 teams competing in the opening stage, you only need to correctly predict the outcomes of five of them.

It sounds easy enough, however, if you’d like to upgrade your coin to the next tier you will need to follow up with 5 correct picks in the Elimination stage. Once again, there will be 16 teams competing in this stage, and the competition will be much tighter. You will have to take plenty of time to decide who you think will come out on top.

If you’d like to upgrade your coin to gold, you will need to follow these ten correct picks with two correct Pick’Em predictions for the Quarterfinals. This means that out of the eight teams competing for a quarterfinal spot, you will have to make two correct choices.

As more and more teams get eliminated and competition tightens, there remains only room for one more coin upgrade. The Diamond coin. To achieve this, you need to complete all stages of the Pick’Em challenges, including everything mentioned before, and then make one correct pick in the Semifinal. Finally, you must correctly predict the team that will achieve victory at the major grand final.

Viewer Pass

To get access to much of the content added by the CS2 Shanghai 2024 major update, you will need to purchase a viewer pass from Valve. The passes cost $9.99 each or $17.99 if you would like to purchase the viewer pass bundle, which includes 3 souvenir coins. With the Shanghai viewer pass, fans of the game will have full access to the Pick’Em Challenge, Steam.tv chat flairs, coin challenges, and unlimited graffiti opportunities in-game for whichever team you choose to support. 50% of all proceeds made from the viewer passes will be used to give support to all participating organizations in the Shanghai 2024 major.

Souvenirs

With the CS2 Shanghai 2024 major update, there will be souvenir packages available for all seven maps that will be played during the tournament: Ancient, Anubis, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Vertigo. You can earn souvenir tokens by purchasing the viewer pass bundle, which includes three, upgrading your coin, which gives you one souvenir token each time you successfully upgrade it, or purchasing a souvenir package directly from the game of your choice. To redeem souvenir tokens, you can select which game and map you would like to redeem the token for on the Pick’Em menu. After confirming, the souvenir package should appear in your inventory. Once you unbox the package, it will include two team stickers depending on the game of your choice, a map sticker depending on the map the game was played on, and the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 major sticker indicating the major it was played in. Here is a short overview of the best skins from all seven souvenir collections.

The Ancient Collection

the ancient collection

The Ancient collection consists of the covert M4A1-S | Welcome to the Jungle, a red, black, and blue M4A1-S with a snake wrapped around the center, ready to strike. The collection also has the Classified AK-47 | Panthera onca, a skin similar to the AK-47 | Jaguar, except with a panther and a more detailed finish instead. Finally exists the Classified P90 | Run and Hide, a P90 with a neat fur-coated finish.

Anubis Collection

The Anubis collection includes the covert M4A4 | Eye of Horus, a colorful M4A4 skin which gives a nod to Egyptian mythology. For the first classified, we have the FAMAS | Waters of Nephthys, a bright blue and white FAMAS which uses lighting to portray itself as a flowing river when you shake the weapon around. Finally, the classified P250 | Apep’s Curse is a bejeweled golden P250 that once again references Egyptian mythology with its unique engraved imagery and extremely detailed designs.

The 2021 Dust II Collection

the 2021 dust 2 collection

The Dust II collection is infamous for having the covert AK-47 | Gold Arabesque, a fully gold luxurious AK-47 with a neatly engraved wooden design. It also contains the classified SSG 08 | Death Strike a sandy skin with a massive scorpion front and center, and the classified UMP-45 | Fade which features the classic yellow to purple Fade pattern.

The 2018 Inferno Collection

the 2018 inferno collection

The Inferno collection contains no coverts, only having the classified SG 553 | Integrale, a red, blue, and white racing-themed skin for the Krieg, and classified Dual Berettas | Twin Turbo, another racing-themed skin, which is red, green, and white. While it may not have the most exciting skins compared to the other collections, it should still show some love for having some solid classified and restricted skins.

The 2021 Mirage Collection

the 2021 mirage collection

The Mirage collection uses a desert theme carrying the covert AWP | Desert Hydra, an orange and white AWP skin iconic for the multiple-headed hydra that stretches across the body of the skin with its bright blue mouths agape. The classified Desert Eagle | Fennec Fox which uses the same color palette as the AWP but with a cute fox design instead. Finally, the classified MP5-SD Oxide Oasis which also follows the same design but with a splatter paint pattern.

The 2018 Nuke Collection

the 2018 nuke collection

The Nuke collection is yet another collection with no covert skin, instead containing two classifieds. The M4A1-S | Control Panel is an insanely elaborate blue and black skin with all sorts of panels, screens, and buttons, all over the body representing a control panel. Its counterpart, the classified Tec-9 | Remote Control, continues this theme with the same color scheme and designs.

The Vertigo Collection

the vertigo collection

The final collection to be included in the Shanghai 2024 souvenir packages is the Vertigo collection, which contains plenty of construction-related skins. This collection contains the covert M4A1-S | Imminent Danger, which is built completely out of metal and construction signs, with all sorts of different text and imagery that you’d find on a construction site sprawled across it. Entering the classifieds, we have the SG 553 | Hazard Pay, a yellow and black Krieg with caution warnings and cones placed all across the skin. The final classification is the Five-SeveN | Fall Hazard. A pretty simple skin similar to the M4A1-S but with the colorful text “CONSTRUCTION” in orange and blue falling down the side of the skin.

Graffiti

After purchasing your viewer pass, you will be able to equip a graffiti of any of the 24 teams of your choice. The graffiti follow the same design as the paper versions of each team’s sticker with their logo and the Shanghai major flair. Furthermore, there is a 25th graffiti option, which is the Shanghai 2024 Perfect World logo. The graffiti have infinite uses, so do not be afraid to spray them as much as you want.

Team Stickers

shanghai major stickers

All of the 24 teams competing in the perfect world major have their own stickers in game divided into 3 types of capsules. The Shanghai 2024 Legends Capsule features the eight teams skipping straight to the elimination stage due to their high performances in the RMR, these teams include: G2, Natus Vincere, Team Vitality, Team Spirit, MOUZ, FaZe Clan, HEROIC, and 3DMAX. The Shanghai 2024 Challengers Stickers which includes: FURIA, Virtus.pro, Team Liquid, Complexity Gaming, BIG, Fnatic, The MongolZ, and paiN Gaming. Finally, there is the Shanghai 2024 Contenders Capsule, which includes GamerLegion, MIBR, Cloud9, FlyQuest, Passion UA, Wildcard, Rare Atom, and Imperial Esports. Once again, 50% of all capsule sales will help support the players and teams involved in the major.

The major marks the 3rd major in a row to include borderless stickers, with the papers and glitters being no different than previous majors besides a couple of exceptions. The holos this time, however, get interesting with each holo containing multiple smaller versions of their logo at random orientations inside of it. While it is disappointing seeing the borderless stickers once again, at least Valve decided to shake it up this update with a new and innovative holographic sticker design.

Player Stickers

The Player Stickers in CS2’s Shanghai 2024 major update aren’t much different from the previous, with it simply being each player’s signature layered over the already existing borderless team sticker. While it would be impossible to show every sticker for each player that qualified, we can show a list of the qualifying players for each team so you can see if your favorite players qualified for the major.
